    Friends of the Tumbledown Dick

    Arts and Culture

    As Deputy Chairman, I helped form The Friends of the Tumbledown Dick, a Community Interest Group set up to protect & restore the Tumbledown Dick Hotel, an 18th century coaching inn in Farnborough. We garnered huge public support and secured millions of pounds in funding but disbanded when planning permission for the pub to become a fast food drive-through was granted in October 2013.

  • OneTouch Global Master

    -

    Design and development of the OneTouch portfolio of global websites. Working with the design agency to deliver assets ahead of the rebrand for build and deployment to US, EMEA and LATAM clones of the global master design.

  • Cyclists Welcome Rebuild and Migration

    -

    Played a key role in project managing this rebuild from a Drupal 6 to a fully-featured, mobile-ready Drupal 7 website. The project was successfully launched in time for unveiling at the Cycle Show at the NEC, Birmingham where the launch was a prime feature of the CTC's stand.

  • www.is4profit.com Joomla! 1.5 CMS Upgrade Project

    -

    After the solo Joomla! 1.0 project, I decided that I needed support with moving an increasingly complex website to Joomla! 1.5 and so I assembled a team including Joomla! core team members Arno Zijlstra and Andrew Eddie to assist me. This project also involved a move from small business servers to an enterprise-ready solution.

  • www.is4profit.com Joomla! 1.0 CMS Migration Project

    -

    I single-handedly managed the migration of www.is4profit.com from flat HTML to Joomla! CMS. This was a great challenge considering that I had to evaluate a number of CMS (Drupal, Wordpress, Typo3 etc), migrate thousands of pages of content, sustain high levels of traffic and develop and deploy new features whilst also updating and maintaining the live website.
