      The Director for the Fusion Technology Division takes the lead on the following functions:
      • Lead the Fusion Technology division, with ~150 people utilising the CHIMERA (~£40M) and other Divsional facilities
      • Operation of the FTF facility in South Yorkshire
      • Leading the Fusion Technology development programmes including in adjacent areas, such as high heat flux and thermal hydraulics, ensuring we deliver technical impact to create and maintain international leadership.
      • Develop use-cases for existing facilities.
      • Secure funding for and deliver high impact research programmes
      • Secure funding for and then execute enhancements for new facilities to support development and research
      • Build world class capabilities in FT disciplines to ensure UK programmes have access to the necessary skills and resources.
      The Director for Fusion technology directly manages 6-8 reports with ~150 people in the management chain, with accountability for an annual budget of £10-20M.
