What motivates copywriters when working for themselves?
Self-employment can be a challenge for people who struggle with staying on task, taking initiative, and following through. You don't have a manager breathing down your neck. You often don't have set deadlines. You may go for days without speaking to a client while you're completing a piece of work. It's entirely up to you to manage your time and stay on task. For those who work from home, there are so many competing distractions you must learn to ignore. It's down on you to manage your workload, work effectively, and deliver. If you don't, you simply won't get paid that month. I use free tools like Pomodoro timers, brown noise, and a planner to stay on task.
