We are proud to reflect on the activities coordinated by our ReachOUT Employee Resource Network (ERN) to recognise Pride Month. UKI colleagues have participated in a Pride themed pub quiz, coffee morning and pride themed lunch. Colleagues also shared what Pride Month means to them on our visual mural. ReachOUT is an integral part of our culture and their work supports us in fostering a best-in-class workplace for LGBTQ+ employees through the execution of inclusive programming, events, and advocacy all year round.  #BiogenUKandIreland #PrideMonth

🌟 A Day of Connection and Community 🌟 Biogen colleagues from across the UK and Ireland recently came together for a full day dedicated to fostering connections, building a sense of community, and taking a well-deserved break from our usual day-day roles. Our Summer Site Wide event featured exciting workshops and insightful presentations. But one of the highlights was our commitment to giving back to the community. This year, we were thrilled to support Shoe Aid, an incredible organisation focused on reducing footwear poverty, minimising footwear waste, and protecting our environment. Check out some of our colleagues' creative designs in the photos below! 👟🎨 #BiogenUKandIreland #CaringDeeply

Biogen, UK and Ireland VP and General Manager Kylie Bromley has recently taken on the role of Chair of the BioIndustry Association (BIA)’s Rare Disease Industry Group (RDIG). RDIG represents a group of innovative biopharmaceutical companies that specialise in treatments for rare and ultra-rare diseases. Over the coming months as RDIG Chair, Kylie will partner with NHS England, NICE, MHRA and Government stakeholders, as well as the patient and clinical community. Whilst significant progress has been made, it remains a very challenging environment to bring a rare or ultra-rare medicine to people living with these conditions. Collaboration is key to ensuring people living with a rare disease in the UK are not left behind.   #BiogenUKandIreland #RareDisease #RDIG #BIA

May 20th is World Clinical Trials Day, in support of this we are celebrating the incredible work done by researchers, clinicians, and of course trial participants around the globe. Did you know that the first clinical trial is thought to have taken place in I747? where James Lind, a ship’s surgeon in the British Royal Navy begun to study the effects of different treatments on scurvy. This is often considered to be the first controlled clinical trial. Today, clinical trials continue to play a pivotal role in advancing medicine and finding new treatments for diseases. At Biogen, we're proud to be part of this global community. #WorldClinicalTrialsDay #BiogenUKandIreland

Last year, we moved into our new offices at Foundation Park in Maidenhead. The site was recently opened by Lord Nick Markham CBE and Priya Singhal alongside our UK and Ireland VP Kylie Bromley at an event that allowed us to celebrate the accomplishments of our dedicated site move team. At Biogen, "Caring Deeply" is more than just a phrase; it's a commitment that our employees are passionate about delivering. In line with this, our team managed to raise over £16,000 for The Link Foundation through a furniture sale as part of our move. The team also donated equipment and furniture to several local charities. A huge thank you to all those that made this move possible and have been instrumental in creating an environment where all employees can thrive. #BiogenUKandIreland #GreatPlaceToWork
