This large open area Gaming Room flooded after a storm and the client was extremely reluctant to shut down the Gaming Room to allow for a drying chamber to be constructed. We came up with a plan to shut down small sections in the quieter trading hours; after midnight and before midday. The team spent weeks going in at midnight to section off small areas of the Gaming Room and set up specialist heat drying equipment, packing it up at lunch time, and then returning at midnight to repeat the process. We successfully dried the property back to its pre-loss condition. The cabinet plinths and wool carpet were saved. There was no replacement of any materials. The insurer saved 10’s of thousands of dollars in repairs and business interruption costs. The loss adjuster was happy, and Policyholder was thrilled that we got the job done with minimal interruption, and the were no repairs required after we were done.
