Anna Torv, star of “Mindhunter” and “The Newsreader,” and Michael Dorman (“For All Mankind,” “Patriot”) head the extensive cast of Netflix’s upcoming Australian Outback epic series “Territory.” The series, previously known as “Desert King” is set to premiere on Oct. 24.
The show is created by Timothy Lee (“Mystery Road,” “Bump”) and Ben Davies (“Bondi Rescue,” “The First Inventors,” “Outback Ringer”) and has its central premise an intense squabble for land. An official synopsis reads: “When the world’s largest cattle station is left without a clear successor, generational clashes threaten to tear the mighty Lawson family apart. Sensing this once great dynasty is in decline, the outback’s most powerful factions – rival cattle barons, desert gangsters, Indigenous elders and billionaire miners – move in for the kill.”

“Territory” was filmed across the Northern Territory and South Australia with support from Screen Territory and South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC). Specific locations include Tipperary Station, as well as the Kakadu National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage site.
