Rosemary joined Variety in 2024 as Editor, Focus after more than three decades covering the entertainment industry. She began her career as a writer-editor-photographer at American Media and Bauer Publishing as West Coast Editor and as the Hollywood Correspondent for Australia’s Horowitz Graham Publishing. As Senior News Editor at TheWrap, she interviewed everyone from legends like Jane Fonda and Carol Burnett, to comedians like Sebastian Maniscalco and Hannah Hadsby, to horror director Eli Roth and controversial activist Rachel Dolezal. In addition, she reviewed films and television, sized up trends and penned a weekly humor column called “Hollywood’s Worst Ideas This Week” for TWCC, before moving on to People Magazine, where she held the position of Senior News Editor and was in charge of production on the weekends. On a personal note, she is an animal lover, makes a killer lasagna, and anything and everything about the Golden Age of Hollywood is her sweet spot.
