Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Program

We provide two types of SIDS services.

  • Any family who suffers an infant death related to SIDS or sudden unexpected infant death related to sleeping will be provided with a Public Health Nurse follow-up, including assessments, case management, education, and referrals to resources such as grief support and counseling.
  • Awareness, education, and resources about SIDS for caregivers, health educators, hospital maternity departments, health care providers, and any interested community group involved with infants.
