Dr. Janet is a pediatrician and homeopathic physician who was in private practice in the Boston, Massachusetts area for almost 25 years prior to joining our center.
Dr. Levatin attended college at the University of Rochester (NY), and medical school at George Washington University School of Medicine. She completed a pediatric internship and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1986.
Throughout her training, Dr. Janet disagreed with much of what she observed in conventional medical practice, including overuse of medications, unwholesome hospital nutrition, and virtually nonexistent methods for true prevention and health promotion. Since seeing more than one case of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) after infant vaccination in the 1980s, she has been an outspoken physician against the over-vaccination of children.
Over time Dr. Janet researched the use of midwifery/home birth, chiropractic, oriental and herbal medicine, and nutrition to promote the health of children. Ultimately she settled on homeopathy as her primary treatment modality. She received much of her homeopathic training through Luminos Homeopathic Courses, Ltd., one of the world’s premier homeopathy training programs, and has been certified as a Homeopathic Master Clinician for over 10 years. Dr. Janet also incorporates herbs, common-sense nutrition, and supplements into her therapeutic regimens.

As a board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Levatin treats children with all types of conditions, including asthma, eczema, allergies, ADHD, ear infections, gastrointestinal disorders, sleep disorders, teething issues, psychological and behavioral imbalances, and autism. She enjoys helping families raise healthy children through natural childbirth, breastfeeding, healthy nutrition, and limited use of pharmaceuticals. She regularly refers children for chiropractic, craniosacral therapy, allergy elimination, and other modalities. All of these modalities are available at Tenpenny Integrative Medical Center, making Dr. Levatin a perfect physician at our holistic clinic.
While Dr. Levatin does not admit children to the hospital, she provides primary care pediatrics, including after-hours availability for children of all ages.
I have been seeing Dr. Levatin for just three months and already she has eliminated or greatly reduced many of my long list of problems that I originally came to see her for. She is extremely thorough, compassionate and a wealth of knowledge…I must admit, I was still a little skeptical about how homeopathy would help me. I had tried many things over the last few years trying to find relief from my problems. I cannot believe the changes that I am witnessing on just three months of homeopathic treatment!
