Do Masks Work to Prevent Coronavirus Spread?

With mandatory mask rules in place in so many cities, a question must be asked.

Do masks work? If they don’t, then WHY are THEY asking us to wear them?

Let’s look at 3 studies on the subject of masks. References at the bottom.

Study 1– Done in 2 Korean hospitals. Surgical masks and reusable cotton masks to detect transmission of SARS-CoV-2 from the person wearing the mask. The infected coughed from the mask into a petri dish. CONCLUSION- MASKS DON’T WORK.

CONCLUSION- MASKS don’t filter COVID-19

Study 2– Done in Vietnam. 1607 hospital workers aged ≥18 years working full-time in selected high-risk wards. Medical masks or cloth masks.

Cloth masks had 13x the transmission rate as medical masks.

Penetration of cloth masks by particles was almost 97% and medical masks 44%.

Conclusion: Cloth masks don’t work and don’t use them. This study is the first randomized trial of cloth masks, and the results caution against the use of cloth masks. This is an important finding to inform occupational health and safety. Moisture retention, reuse of cloth masks and poor filtration may result in increased risk of infection. Further research is needed to inform the widespread use of cloth masks globally. However, as a precautionary measure, cloth masks should not be recommended for health care workers, particularly in high-risk situations, and guidelines need to be updated.

Study 3

Four trials finding no benefit to wearing surgical masks.

Masks won’t save us. A healthy immune system will. Masks serve to instill fear. Government laws seek to control the masses through fear and gestapo tactics.
