The Senate has voted 48-47 to end the emergency powers put in place in March, 2020 in response to the COVID crisis. The Senate’s joint resolution has now gone to the House of Representatives and President Biden has said that he’ll veto the bill if it crosses his desk. It’s critical that all of us contact our representatives in Congress to demand that these emergency powers be taken away immediately.

In a Jan. 11 letter to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Sec. Xavier Becerra from James Comer, ranking member of the Committee on Government Oversight and Reform, and Jim Jordan, ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, the Congressmen asked for a “transcribed interview” of Dr. Fauci. The letter includes government emails, made public for the first time, indicating that Dr. Fauci was aware of the potential that COVID-19 leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the possibility that the virus was intentionally genetically manipulated.

H.R. 550, a federal bill passed Nov. 30 by the U.S. House of Representatives, would expand state and local health department vaccine-tracking systems to monitor the vaccination status of American citizens. States would provide the information to the federal government. H.R. 550 it would lead to a monumental invasion of our rights as American citizens. It would set a dangerous precedent and could lead to more vaccine mandates, and more restrictions of services and healthcare for the unvaccinated.

On November 2, the British Medical Journal (BMJ) published an investigation finding poor research practices at Ventavia, a contract research company that conducted COVID-19 vaccine trials for Pfizer. According to the BMJ, “speed may have come at the cost of data integrity and patient safety.” A former Ventavia employee told the BMJ that the company had “falsified data, unblinded patients, employed inadequately trained vaccinators, and was slow to follow up on adverse events reported in Pfizer’s pivotal phase III trial.
