Educating Flatbush Brooklyn About The Minor Consent Bill
Yesterday a few new york activists got together and conducted public outreach to the Flatbush Brooklyn community.
They engaged in conversations and handed out flyers about Assembly Bill A276b also known as the “Minor Consent Bill” which seeks to strip parental rights allowing minors to make medical decisions on vaccines for sexually transmitted diseases.
The event was a success. 500 flyers were distributed and many conversations were had by a community that understood that the bill was a complete violation of their parental rights. Many were outraged to know that this was actually being moved in Albany and that their own representatives voted yes on this bill.
Drummers helped provide harmony and helped the conversations happen as people stopped to listen.
