Enes Kanter Freedom rips 'uneducated' WNBA player after she trashes America

Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom ripped WNBA player Natasha Cloud after the Washington Mystics' guard called America "trash" ahead of July 4.

"Our country is trash in so many ways and instead of using our resources to make it better we continue to oppress marginalized groups that we have targeted since the beginning of times," Cloud tweeted.

"Black/brown communities & LGBTQ+ man we are too powerful to still be attacking issues separate."

Freedom called out the WNBA star.

"Just ask your colleague Brittney Griner how 'trash' America is," he tweeted. "Calling America trash huh? Let me know when your season is over, I'll buy your ticket and we can go together to countries like China, Russia, IRAN, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, & Turkey."

"People have NO idea how lucky and blessed they are to be in a country like America. I'm not saying America is perfect, but trust me, you don't wanna see the other side."

Freedom repeated his sentiment Wednesday and said that Cloud's comments broke his heart.

"I just cannot believe how these athletes are so uneducated about what's going on around the rest of [the] world," he said. "I wish I could show them. That's why I'm offering her or anyone, whenever their season's over, I will buy their ticket, first class, don't worry, and I will like to take them to some of the regimes out there."

In other nations held down by regimes, criticism like Cloud's could put a person in prison.

"You and your family members will be in jail and tortured to death," according to Freedom. "So, I just can't believe how people still can't understand how lucky and blessed they are to be in a country where you can say whatever you want to say."
