"Majority doesn't always dictate:" School board ignores 84% of parents on how to teach sex-ed and the inclusion of 'gender identity'
A school board in Virginia is ignoring a majority of parents who do not want to allow boys and girls to take sex education together.
In a work session, the Fairfax county school board was presented with a poll showing 84% of parents are against children being taught “Family Life Education” together. It showed, out of the 2,656 respondents, parents overwhelmingly want classes separated by gender. Currently the students are separated by gender but the proposal will combine the students' instruction starting in fourth grade.
However, the Fairfax County School Superintendent, Michelle Reid, responded to the data saying, “Honestly, the majority doesn’t always dictate, right?”

Can presidents actually eliminate federal agencies?
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis this week joined a line of Republican candidates who, over the years, have made far-fetched promises to eliminate entire federal agencies if elected president.
“We would do Education, we would do Commerce, we’d do Energy, and we would do IRS,” DeSantis told Fox News this week, laying out which departments would be on the chopping block.

Supreme Court news: Workplace affirmative action up next after race banned in college admissions
The Supreme Court's landmark ruling Thursday striking the use of affirmative action in college admissions opened the door to possible litigation over workplace hiring programs that use race as a significant factor.
Legal experts and parties with interests in maintaining affirmative action have long speculated that the decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. University of North Carolina and Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard may have far broader impacts on corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Police need wiretap order to monitor Facebook account, court rules
Police and prosecutors must receive wiretap approval if they wish to eavesdrop on a user's Facebook account without evidence of them committing a crime, a New Jersey court ruled Thursday.
In a landmark case, the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled unanimously in favor of Facebook, deciding that a warrant was insufficient to track a user's social media account and that a wiretap order would be required. New Jersey law enforcement had attempted to get Facebook to provide the content of two users' accounts every 15 minutes for 30 days with just a warrant, which only requires probable cause to approve. The warrant was justified, the state argued, because the data would already technically be stored on Facebook's servers and not a live feed of the user's activities.

Republicans sell ‘Biden & Son’ T-shirts tying Bidenomics to Hunter Biden’s business deals with China
EXCLUSIVE — The National Republican Congressional Committee unleashed its latest attack against President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden on Thursday, hoping to build on its efforts to boost fundraising ahead of the 2024 cycle.
The NRCC has begun selling limited-edition “Biden & Son” T-shirts, criticizing the president for his administration’s efforts to control the economic narrative as being under the control of “Bidenomics,” a catchall term referring to the policies implemented by the Biden administration. The fundraising campaign ties that message to reports of Hunter Biden’s business dealings with a Chinese Communist Party-linked company that flowed millions of dollars to Biden family accounts.

Republicans prepare campaigns to flip three states and win back control of Senate
Since losing key races in the midterm elections, Republicans turned their attention to vulnerable Democratic seats for the 2024 Senate election. Now, GOP leaders are narrowing their focus on more marginal swing states as pickups to flip the upper chamber next cycle.
GOP candidates are lining up either to replace or succeed longtime Democratic incumbent senators in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. These three states helped former President Donald Trump win the election in 2016 but cost him reelection in 2020.

WEX MIN: Biden condemns SCOTUS affirmative action, House GOP inquiry into Hunter Biden, Biden costing voters 10k
The supreme court has struck down affirmative action. Biden is getting condemned for criticizing the 6-3 ruling. Harvard University signaled the school may seek loopholes to its race-based admissions scheme.
The House GOP is requesting interviews with David Weiss and 12 federal officials. Two IRS whistleblowers claim the DOJ significantly interfered with U.S. Attorney David Weiss’ investigation into Hunter Biden. Republicans have started ramping up their inquiry into how the president’s son got what they have called a “sweetheart deal.”
Biden administration rules are costing voters $10,000 per household. A report by the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, found if Biden were reelected in 2024, the estimated cost per household would skyrocket to almost $60,000 over an eight-year period.

Gaetz demands answers on FBI agents seen kneeling at Black Lives Matter protests
House Republicans are ramping up efforts to crack down on perceived political bias in the federal government aimed against conservatives, this time narrowing in on the conduct of FBI agents during racial justice protests in the summer of 2020.
In a letter sent to FBI Director Christopher Wray on Thursday, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) demanded information on at least five agents who were seemingly kneeling in solidarity while patrolling the protests. The Florida Republican included a photo “believed to be” showing FBI agent Sarah Linden kneeling on the ground during a protest in Washington, D.C., which Gaetz denounced as showing support for “seditious riots that caused so much destruction.”
