The distribution of payments begins on the second day of each month, and the amount depends on familial size. A single household will get $281, and an eight-member household will receive $1,691, according to Delaware.gov.
The first letter of a recipient's last name determines when they get their payment. Recipients will have access to the funds through an EBT card, which can be used like a credit card.

Any amount left on an EBT card at the end of each month will hold over into the next month, meaning users will not have to rush to use any amount they didn't already spend. The benefits won't expire for as long as the card is regularly used.
