Pennsylvania escaped prisoner spotted on doorbell camera

Pennsylvania residents captured footage of an escaped inmate with "survivalist skills" with their doorbell camera, giving police additional clues to catch the suspected murderer.

Michael Burham, 34, was spotted recently with a doorbell camera in Pennsylvania, according to local authorities. Burham was being held on $1 million bail related to burglary, kidnapping, and other charges up until June 6. He escaped that day from Warren County Jail "like a spider," using exercise equipment and bedsheets to exit through the window, according to police.

Burham was spotted by the doorbell camera "in a location south of Warren," Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bivens said at a news conference Friday. Bivens did not say when he was spotted but noted that it was "within the last couple of days."

"Burham was a self-taught survivalist with Military Reserve experience," Bivens emphasized. "We believe he has prepared to survive in the woods, as previously reported. Our searches have revealed small stockpiles or campsites in wooded areas."

Bivens asked that locals review their doorbell and surveillance camera footage to see if they found anything useful. He also emphasized that Burham was considered "armed and dangerous."

The United States Marshals are offering a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to Burham's capture, and Warren County Crime Stoppers is offering $2,000.
