WATCH LIVE: Senate Judiciary Committee holds hearing on AI regulation


The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing focusing on rules related to artificial intelligence on Tuesday.

Congress has been exploring how to approach and regulate AI as concerns about job losses, investments into the industry, and other possible guardrails on the technology emerge.

Several witnesses will participate in the hearing from the subcommittee on privacy, technology, and the law, including British professor of computer science Stuart Russell, Dario Amodei, the CEO and co-founder of the AI research company Anthropic, and Yoshua Bengio, the founder and scientific director of the Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms.
