House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is the most popular leader in Congress.

That is far better than Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) rating of 26% favorable, 64% unfavorable.

And House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is also much lower, with a 34% favorable rating. His unfavorables are 35%. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) rating is also underwater, 37%-52%.

McCarthy’s favorability ratings have dipped a bit in recent weeks, but he still has the strong support of Republican likely voters, according to Rasmussen.

In the survey, Republicans approve of McCarthy 66%-20%, giving him a strong base to work from as he readies for the fall budget battles and fights with the White House.
