WEX MIN: Biden responds to impeachment “lies,” GOP could lose house majority before 2024, RFK flew on Epstein plane twice
President Joe Biden is lashing out over impeachment inquiry allegations as the clock is ticking for his son to sit for a deposition before congress.
House Republicans could lose their majority before 2024. With Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announcing he will retire at the end of the year, Rep. George Santos’ (R-NY) expulsion, and Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH) leaving for another role, the GOP razor thin majority will drop to one as we enter the new year. Rep. Marjory Taylor Greene (R-GA) wrote morbidly, “Hopefully no one dies.”
RFK Jr. reveals he flew on Epstein's plane twice, contradicting previous claims.

WEX MIN: Patrick McHenry done in congress, Musk can’t play GTA5, Kim Jong Un cries over babies
Rep. Patrick McHenry will not seek reelection. The North Carolina congressman served as speaker pro tempore for three weeks while the House was without a speaker. McHenry said in a statement.“This is not a decision I come to lightly, but I believe there is a season for everything and — for me — this season has come to an end.” McHenry is the 32nd member of the House to announce he is retiring, resigning, or not running for reelection.
Musk says he couldn't play GTA V because it required 'shooting police officers.' The admittedly avid gamer said, “Just couldn’t do it.”
Kim Jong Un breaks down in tears in a bizarre video telling North Korean women to have more children. Kim spoke at the annual National Mothers Meeting saying instilling “socialist values” into children is a North Korean woman's “primary revolutionary task.

The history-making vote was 51-50 on Tuesday to advance President Joe Biden's nominee, Loren AliKhan, to be a U.S. district judge for the District of Columbia.

New figures reveal how Biden's 'radical' EV push has failed in key way
Two years ago, President Joe Biden allocated a substantial $7.5 billion toward the construction of thousands of electric vehicle charging stations across the nation, but the promised rollout remains elusive.
Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law invested $7.5 billion in EV charging when signed into law in 2021. Congress backed the legislation and agreed to build a national network of 500,000 EV chargers by 2030.

Kyrsten Sinema accused in ethics complaint of 'ongoing failure' to report finances
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) is facing an ethics complaint from a conservative watchdog group over allegations of her "long-standing and ongoing failure to fully complete" financial disclosures.
The complaint, filed by the American Accountability Foundation on Monday, requested that the Senate Select Ethics Committee "immediately open an investigation" into Sinema's alleged failure to report income, assets, and other details in connection to Dr. Lindsay Buckman, a licensed psychologist in Arizona with whom she reportedly lives as a partner. In 2013, then-House member Sinema allowed Buckman to travel with her on an official trip to Israel, according to AAF, which could have placed the lawmaker in violation of ethics rules.

White House weighing maritime convoys for commercial ships; Donalds tells Biden to secure border
The Biden administration is in talks with other nations about setting up maritime convoys for commercial vessels operating in the Red Sea, national security adviser Jake Sullivan announced Monday. Sullivan's announcement came after Houthi rebels (a terrorist group operating out of Yemen with Iranian backing) attacked three such ships over the weekend. The Houthis had carried out similar strikes following the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas against Israel and claimed to continue targeting vessels in the Red Sea with Israeli ties.
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) blasted the Biden administration for its "failing" border policies and "directly harming military families" after veterans traveling for the Army-Navy football game found their hotel reservations canceled due to an influx of immigrants. One travel agent said at least 70 of his reservations were canceled in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where the football game is being held. The cancellations are legal under Massachusetts's right-to-shelter law, which has allowed hundreds of families to be put up in hotels — most of them immigrants.
Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) responded to the Biden administration’s call for Congress to approve more aid for Ukraine. On Monday, White House Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young informed Congress in a letter that "we are out of money to support Ukraine in this fight." Additionally, National security adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters at Monday's White House press briefing that any lawmakers who vote against additional Ukraine aid will "hurt Ukraine and help Russia."

Hamas scuttled truce to avoid releasing Israeli rape victims, State Department suggests
Hamas broke a humanitarian truce last week in order to avoid releasing Israeli women who endured rape or other atrocities in its custody, Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s spokesman has suggested.
“It seems one of the reasons they don't want to turn women over that they've been holding hostage, and the reason this pause fell apart, is they don't want those women to be able to talk about what happened to them during their time in custody,” State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said on Monday. “Certainly, there is very little that I would put beyond Hamas when it comes to its treatment of civilians and particularly its treatment of women.”

The White House is frantically sounding the alarm on Ukraine aid. President Joe Biden submitted a more than $105 billion supplemental funding request to Congress. The proposal included nearly $62 billion in new aid for Ukraine, but is tied to money for Israel, Taiwan, and securing the Southern Border.

Venezuela votes to claim region in oil-rich Guyana, raising fears of conflict
Venezuelans voted Sunday to claim sovereignty over the oil-rich Essequibo region in neighboring Guyana, escalating a long-standing territorial dispute between the countries centered on energy resources and sparking international concerns about annexation.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro touted the election results Sunday night as a “total success” for the country. Venezuela’s National Electoral Council claimed 10.5 million voters turned out and passed the five-question ballot with 95% approval, though those numbers were not independently verified, and the Associated Press reported that few voters were seen at polling sites across the country.

Hunter Biden used business account to pay Joe Biden in 2018: Bank record
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) released bank records showing that Hunter Biden’s company, Owasco PC, transferred money to President Joe Biden in 2018.
Owasco PC was an entity Hunter Biden used to handle income he received from his foreign business deals. For example, some of the money he earned from working with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma would flow to his Owasco account, as would payments from Hunter Biden’s work with a Romanian oligarch.

WEX MIN: One condition to Hunter Biden testimony, Trump’s possible trial delay
The House GOP is putting one major condition on Hunter Biden's offer to testify to Congress. Rep James Comer (R-KY) sent a letter to Hunter Biden's lawyer Abbe Lowell, demanding Hunter Biden sit for a closed deposition, but the committee will welcome a public hearing after the fact. Lowell claims he wants the hearing to be public so Comer couldn’t release portions of the depositions to “manipulate” or “distort the facts and misinform the public.”
A Georgia judge is questioning whether Trump can be tried if he wins the 2024 election. If the judge were to accept an argument for the Supremacy Clause, Trump's Georgia trial would be delayed until at least 2029 if Trump claims victory over President Joe Biden.

Juan Ciscomani over his vote to advance an appropriations bill that includes a provision restricting access to abortion medication — highlighting the struggle GOP leaders have to pass their annual spending bills while protecting their most vulnerable members from difficult votes.
