Woman arrested after allegedly stabbing man in head with scissors

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Police were called to a vape shop near North 47th Street and Huntington Avenue on Saturday after a person called, saying that there was a man with a pair of scissors stuck in his head.

When officers arrived shortly after 2 p.m., the 29-year-old man reported to LPD that he had gotten into an argument with 33-year-old Allyssa Rodgers when she struck him in the head. The man thought he had been struck by the woman’s fists, however when he later went to the vape shop, he was informed that he had been stabbed with a pair of scissors.

The man was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Rodgers was arrested for second-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
