CMDCM (AW/SW) Daniel Arroyo

Command Master Chief Daniel “Danny” Arroyo is a native of Bronx, New York. He enlisted in the United States Navy and reported for basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois, in April 1999.  He then completed Aviation Machinist Mate “A” school located in Pensacola, Florida, in August of 1999.
 
Arroyo’s sea duty assignments include Fighter Squadron (VF) 14 which deployed with USS Enterprise (CV 65), USS Nimitz (CVN 68), USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), USS Vicksburg (CG 69), and Marine Corps Security Force Battalion Kings Bay, Georgia.  He supported Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom.  In 2017, Arroyo was selected to command senior chief and advanced to command master chief.  As Command Master Chief, he was assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 131 which deployed aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, then to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 5.
 
In 2004, Arroyo attended and graduated the Master-at-Arms “A” school following a rate conversion approval.
 
Ashore, Arroyo was assigned to Security Department for Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island, Recruit Division Commander, and Recruit Division Commander “C” School Instructor at Great Lakes, Illinois.
 
Master Chief Arroyo is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy and the Command Master Chief Course.
 
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.  He is also qualified as an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Nuclear Weapons Security, and Master Training Specialist.
