Product Description

Great film, but product packaging is misleading
I purchased the 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray+ Digital code Extended Cut version and the packaging says that it includes 2 versions of the movie, however the 2 versions are only included on the 4K discs and the digital copy, NOT the standard Blu-ray disc. The Blu-ray disc is the Theatrical Version only and does NOT include the Extended Cut version in the Blu-ray format.

There is actually a story line, there is actually consistent and understandable and relatable characters, there is some very fun acting, the chemistry of the main two is great, the action is really excellent - especially with their dedication to doing as much "for real" as possible. They did an amazing job with this - AND IT'S FUNNY AS HELL. The unicorn scenes alone...

I enjoyed this way more than I expected (thought it would be a fun but light nothing burger), its an obviously loved and invested in script and concept that was delivered excellently, everybody CARED, and you can tell.

I hear there's a 20min extended version which leaves more of the jokes in that I'm genuinely curious about, I can see why they might edit it down with the length (and sometimes editing is absolutely the right choice for pacing and tone, so it might have been exactly the right way to go - I can't say) - but... I would have very happily watched for longer just to see this play out with even more fun and silliness and moments between the main two.

I was genuinely rooting for the relationship! When was the last time an big time fun action movie actually made you care about whether the guy and girl ended up together?

Also - the story / plot / character actions / personalities / everything were completely believable and consistent and more human than I've seen in ages (especially in a fun action movie, but honestly, even compared to some movies that were supposed to be t such things) - big kudos to the writer and director.

Oh =) And the stunts were awesome, of course =)

Obviously a work of love on many people's parts!

This movie was great! It was funny, fast-moving action and had subtle references to the original Fall Guy TV show. Even has a great cameo from the man himself. I had zero expectations on this one, but I am glad we rented it. This was a good movie with all the right stuff and Gossling and Blunt do an excellent job with their characters. Just good filmmaking and good plot. I was surprised they could make a movie as good as this from the Fall Guy. I liken it to the surprise I got when I watched the A-Team movie.

I would have given it 5 stars except for the profanity. I liked the way Colt narrated the film. And I really liked that despite the romance nobody jumped into bed. Some people complained about too much dialogue, but I enjoyed that. I'm my opinion, except for the profanity, they did a great job. I didn't think I would like it because it's modern and I was a fan of the TV show, but I was totally surprised.

I don't know exactly what category this movie falls into, so let's just say it fits basically ALL of the ones I listed above. This RomCom is full of action, a thrilling mystery, and great banter that holds it all together. I might be obsessed with it, since I've seen it about 4 times in theaters, and couldn't wait to buy the digital copy when it came out. Highly recommend if you want something fun to watch with friends or family. Also, fun fact: One of their stunt men actually set the world record for the most number of rolls in a vehicle! Watch the bonus clips to see their reactions! Pretty awesome!

Five stars to the direction team, the editing team, the writers, Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling for spot on performances. Absolute entertainment. Once in a while there comes along a self-love movie packaged as an action movie packaged as a who-done-it-move. Flippin' genius!

I had been pretty excited to see this in the theater, but I was still pleasantly surprised. I thought, I like this cast, I like this director, this should be pretty good. I was wrong, it wasn't pretty good, it was great! The chemistry between Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling is great, the humor had me laughing almost the entire time, and the stunts were great! Also, Jean-Claude is one of the greatest canine side-kicks in the history of film. I ended up going to see it twice and the second time a few of us dragged a friend from our local movie group to see it who was basically along for the ride and wasn't really that interested in the film. Afterword he said that was some of the most fun he'd ever had going to the movie theater. I really can't recommend this film enough, it didn't get the credit and attention it deserves, so I can only hope more people see it on streaming and spread the word. And oh yeah, I didn't realize that there were no Oscars awarded to stunt performers until this movie brought it to my attention, I thought it was one of the non-televised awards that are handed out. With how much difficulty and danger goes into creating and executing a lot of these stunts, having no awards to recognize that is crazy to me. Oscars for stunts!

Having watched the old TV series and having seen the preview I had great expectations. I was surprised how slowly the story opened for an action comedy. But once it started rolling it was hilarious. We watched it as a 3 generation family. My teenage grandson, professor son-in-law my wife, daughter and I all laughed a lot and enjoyed the story. It may be slightly overrated at 5 stars, it might be 4 or 4 and a half, but I don't believe you'll be disappointed if you like the genre.
