I purchased the 1 oz size of this hand cream just to try it out, before potentially ordering the 5 oz, and I'm glad I did. This hand cream smells like BABY POWDER, there is no other way around it. The baby powder scent is quite strong, and I'm not someone that is usually bothered by scents.Personally, I'm somewhat confused as to the reviews that rave about this hand cream. I think people's perception of this product is skewed based on marketing, packaging, and it being Made in France.Yes, the consistency of the cream is nice, and it feels good on your hands, but neither of those things are any better than your run of the mill OTC hand creams from any grocery or drug store. The value in this product is ALL marketing and branding.I don't plan on buying this again, I may eventually try their almond scented hand cream and see how it is, but I plan on trying some different brands. A hand cream should feel and smell luxurious...it should not smell like another product.

Funny enough, what I love most about this product is the closure - the little flip cap is so convenient (I bought the smaller size, not sure if it’s the same on the larger one). Love that it’s truly unscented and that it’s thick enough to provide moisture/relief from dry hands with no after-slick feeling. If hands are severely dehydrated, not sure how this would hold up in cold weather (I’ve only had it in the spring thus far). I expected it to be slightly thicker upon application (not to blend into hands as quickly), but perhaps that would leave some residue or oil behind on the hands. I do really like it and would purchase again.

This product is expensive, however when compared to other skin care brands I have used (Amlactin, liquid gloves, o’keefe’s working hands, CeraVe, Eucerin, Olay, Amlactin to name some I have used ) don’t compare to this. This cream is a bit of a miracle worker. My hands are very dry, crepey, red and look dehydrated which makes me feel insecure about how they look. I bought this cream for my mom and she raves about it. I bought my husband some & ended up stealing it from him. You will see instant improvement upon application, it fills in the wrinkles (not sure how) absorbs instantly and lasts for 24 hours even with washing hands 3x’s. It almost acts like a primer in terms of how much it improves your hands. You only need a qtr size to work it’s magic. Yes it’s too expensive for me to buy regularly but when I want to treat myself I buy it. Also it’s packaged beautifully & makes a pretty and luxurious gift for you to give to anyone who appreciates luxury items. My mother in law is a very natural & overly frugal person. She doesn’t use any skin care just soap. But I like to spoil her so I got her this lotion (along with the shea butter soap) for Xmas and she loves it!
