As a big fan of Priya Krishna’s previous cookbooks, I couldn’t wait to try this one out. It didn’t disappoint! Something to cook for every age kid, including my toddler who will mostly be mixing and mashing and spreading and rolling etc. In an era of cookbooks that tell beautiful stories but often lack testing rigor, it’s great to find a book with a delightful narrative AND well tested recipes with accurate measurements (and wiggle room for kids). Priya Krishna also doesn’t dumb down a cuisine to make it palatable to kids— she invites young cooks to experiment and step up to the occasion. She assumed a smart and inquisitive reader, and rewards them for their curiosity and willingness to try new things. Super culturally literate as well.
