After getting good customer service from Jess, I'm upgrading my review to 4 stars. Jess was able to get me a new replacement but I still had to pay for another installation which was close to the price of flood light itself. Only time will tell how long this one will last.This is the Second Ring Flood Camera with Same Manufacturing Issues. I purchased this September 19, 2023 and water is getting into the camera lens area when it rains and remains there for up to a week or more, making seeing anything almost impossible. My first Ring Flood Camera I had for a few years before the small circle piece of glass in front of the camera feel out. I had this second Ring Camera for only 6 months when the water in the camera issue started. See my two attachments. I contacted Amazon customer service and could hardly understand the woman I was speaking with. She put me on hold to check with someone because I guess the product only has a 30-day warranty. After waiting on hold for almost a half-hour, I hung up. I used a professional certified electrician and don't think I should have to pay for another install for Amazon's weak Manufacturing. Just FYI, Amazon purchased Ring years ago. Would be nice if someone from Amazon that speaks clear English, would contact me about this issue. Would be happy to upgrade me rating with some respectful customer service.

It was worth the extra cost for piece of mind. Beyond that once it was setup everything else was a breeze. Connecting to the ring app took about 10 minutes because of updates but after that it works flawlessly. Picture quality and audio is excellent. Floodlight coverage is also very good and motion detection is honestly too good I had to go in and tune it because it was detecting people walking on the street which is a bit too much. Very happy with this product. Will update if that changes.

After many years of faithful service the lens on my old 720p floodlight camera became so blurred I could barely see anything. The poor old thing had a cataract. Purchased this new 1080p model and Amazon got it to me next day. A breeze to switchout as Ring has added some really good features. No foul language required. The nylon strap that hooks and holds the floodlight camera is great as it allows you to safely work with two hands. The whole mounting assembly was improved and eases installation. Hooked up easily on the network. Picture is great.

I get that there are bashers of Ring products, but I have been an adopter since early on and have been beyond satisfied with all of their products, and this one is no exception!

This replaced our Ring Floodlight camera that was bought in mid 2017. The camera faces directly east and is subjected to direct sunlight from dawn to late mid day in the unrelenting California Central Valley sun and the lense was finally getting blurry after almost 7 years of continuous use. I think it also had some help from bug spray.....

While the old Floodlight cam was good, the improvements regarding resolution, clarity and the floodlights themselves, along with the louder speaker and siren, make this unit worth the cost! I'm not a huge fan of the "Birds Eye view", but the motion detection and the motion warning are both great.

Honestly, I couldn't be any happier with this unit or any other Ring product I have used; from the Ring alarm, Video Doorbell Pro or the three battery/solar Spotlights they have more than met my needs for security and reliability!!

Update: Condensation built up on the lens inside the camera after a storm. The condensation completely obstructed the camera's view and events were being missed. Reached out to Ring via telephone and they replaced the product. Great customer service.

I've been a master electrician for nearly 50 years. I've never experienced a more user-friendly fixture hanging setup. The included mounting plate made it adaptable for any type of standard outlet box and the hook on the mounting plate along with the strap on the fixture that supported the weight of the fixture while you connected the wires was an absolute Godsend. I purchased 5 of them. They were also user-friendly in terms of setting up and connecting to my wi-fi network. I've only had them operational for a day, but they work like a champ.

UPDATE: Ring support called after I left this review and had me try like 5 things. The last one worked. They need to put these instructions in the box. I got all my devices to work and I am happy! Still only 4 stars because of all the trouble, but the devices work great.

I bought two Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pros and installed them. The devices said they could not connect to my wireless network because the signal was too weak. So, I bought two Chime Pro things. I have a new Mesh network that is powerful enough to reach a TV that is outside. I have an existing Ring stick up cam and Ring doorbell that work fine on the same wireless network, that are farther away from the router than the new Floodlight Cams. The Chime Pros can't connect to the network either, even though the signal strength for my Ring doorbell and Stick Up Cam is fine. So now I have 4 Ring devices that don't work. I moved the Chime Pros right next to the router and they still said the signal strength was too weak. I wish I had read the other reviews and tested these Floodlight Cams before I installed them. Reddit has a big thread about how these products don't work. I called support yesterday morning and I have yet to hear back. This is a mess. I replaced some other lights with two Floodlight Cams that don't work and the lights that were in place worked. DISASTER!
