3.0 out of 5 starsOk for kid learning, outdoors in no wind
Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2023
All I can say is. Make sure you have plenty of open air space and it isn't too windy.
A light breeze will make these lightweight drones drift off. The motors are not powerful enough to pull back against the wind.
Also when outdoors the instructions recommend to use speed 3.
These drones will not hover very well, they drift quickly and the trims ("fine tune") are overly adjusting to far or don't adjust at all.
Also the app does connect, after joining the drones open wifi access point (in the drone). Like a other person said l, connect to drones wifi first, then start app.
Also the camera doesn't record locally on the drone, if it looses wifi signal to a phone (the app), the recording is stopped.
Also it is quickly able to lose control of this drone due to instability. Also the drone will not return home if it loses remote contact. It will keep going off course until it crashes.
Auto take off shoot up too high and lack of stability make this drone pretty awful to fly indoors without smacking the props. It will not stay in one place and hover usually. One time it surprised me..next time it took off it drifted like crazy on take off.. does calibration works, who knows?
Auto return is useless. App is fairly useless. Videos are choppy and not hi def.b cameras has only a vertical manual gimbal..and is very limited on FOV.
In the end dont expect anything near dji or evo quality.. 50 bux is what it is. I got two of these for two pre teen kids to crash and learn on something inexpensive, that doesn't require a remote ID and I myself struggled flying sort of. Kids make good bird dogs for drones that drift away.
