Reviews of The Best Asbestos Testing Companies Near You
Asbestos Hazard Control
The professional they sent out was punctual, professional, answered all of my questions along with my client's questions about removal and what options they had in regards to the asbestos present in the home. (I'm a realtor). We were given a written quote within days and we're very happy with the experience overall... I am sure if my client decides to get the asbestos removed, he will surely be using AHC

Rich was very flexible and understanding when I had to push my appointment time back. He also gave great professional advice and took the samples for me efficiently. I would definitely recommend this company!

Lyle Environmental
Lyle did a great job removing asbestos shingles from our front porch roof. They worked together with our roofer to make sure that the new roof was able to be installed on the same day that Lyle removed the asbestos shingles.

He was very prompt, friendly, professional. I would definitely use their service if the test does come back positive.

Rich does business in an honest way. There are about 700 sq. ft 9x9 inch vinyl flooring tiles in my house which was built in 1961. Everybody said that they are asbestos tiles because of the year and size. It is expensive to remove them. Rich came in and gave me a quote. But he insisted that I make a sample test before proceeding to the removal process. Fortunately, I followed his instruction. To my surprise, the lab test gave a negative result. So I do not need to remove the tiles. I would like to do business with this company in the future

Asbestos Hazard Control
They were in hazmat outfits and they chipped it off in big chunks. They wet it down and cleaned the boiler off with a sander like a dental instrument and made it smooth. Then they shipped it off so there were no particles in the air. It was like a new original metal boiler without the asbestos. It was weird watching them because they cocoon the thing and test the air around the boiler. They can't leave until the air is clear so they keep testing it. When it is clear they take the cocoon down. It is not hard to chip it off. The guy I talked to said that you would have to work around asbestos for 35 years with no protection to have any problems. It said that it is very overrated

Lyle Environmental
I dropped off a sample, and within a little more than an hour they called and told me that it was safe (and offered to email a lab printout). Worth every penny to avoid the worry. Thanks! Great job.

North American Environmental Services
Excellent customer service. Patrick met us at our house and informed us that what we had was in fact asbestos tape. He even looked in our attic to confirm we did NOT have asbestos insulation. He said he knew it was asbestos but I wanted to have it tested just in case. He gave me the information where I could have it tested myself and helped me safely get a sample. He answered all of our questions even after he left - with a quickness. The crew who actually did the work arrived early, were very personable and helpful. They too answered all the questions we had and stayed in touch with me throughout the day on their progress. This wasn't something I knew we would have to do so I was not very happy when I found out.. I couldn't have asked for a better company to make this process any smoother. Highly recommended

Asbestos Hazard Control
I spoke with Scott Reed. I needed asbestos testing for damaged flooring that needs to come up as part of a remodel and mold remediation service. No one will take care of the mold and water damage until they know if the floor has asbestos. Scott asked me specifics about the issues and then explained that I could save myself money (more than half price) by taking a sample to a local company for analysis rather than having his crew come out and go through all their steps. I was stunned! Honest, effective, and sincere advice from someone I didn't even know. If I do have asbestos, he gets my business

Maryland Cleaning & Abatement Corp
It wasn’t asbestos and they didn’t give me a recommendation on where to send it to be tested like another company did. They would have done the job even though it wasn’t asbestos. They didn’t even suggest sending samples to the lab at all, so they would have taken my money for no reason. They said the glue was definitely asbestos but it turns out that it isn’t. I was taken aback because they should know what they are doing or at least make a suggestion. I don't think I would use them in the future because I'm not sure I can trust them

Asbestos Hazard Control
Scott came out and carefully examined 2 areas of concern I had about some asbestos lined ducts. 1 duct is accessible, the other is not. I cannot say enough about how professional and helpful he was. After discussing the various options, he was able to provide information on how I could remediate the situation myself and that I really didn't need to have it removed. He also provided me information on how to have it tested by a local company if I wanted peace of mind in case the lining of one of the ducts didn't actually contain asbestos since it had been painted over and was in suprisingly good condition. If I ever need further help with asbestos, I'd call AHC and Scott without a doubt. This is actually my second time working with them on an issue and they are fantastic to work with from beginning to end. They clearly are not out to take your money. They're there to help you

I spoke with Rich Kenny and an appointment was scheduled accommodating my schedule. He arrived on time and was very professional and friendly. He provided a basic estimate on the spot and promised a hard estimate by e-mail which arrived sooner than he promised. He was very informative about precautions and potential dangers in dealing with asbestos and we felt very safe with his plan and his estimate was about half the amount quoted by others. The crew arrived on time and went right to work. Don Marofsky was in charge and provided instruction to the technicians. As he left he provided us with his card so we could call if we had any questions. The men were polite and informative about the steps they were taking. The plastic room was constructed, the asbestos properly removed and air samples taken when complete. We were instructed not to disturb the plastic until test results were returned. Results were delivered and clean. The plastic was removed and the furnace replaced

Lyle Environmental
Firstly, we had Lyle Labs test a sample of the insulation for asbestos and they were very prompt with their response--I had heard of sending it off and taking a while, and we were under a short time frame to submit remedies for a house we were buying. When it came back positive, I got a couple quotes for the removal. Ryan told me around $6000, and the other estimate was $13,000. WOW. Lyle had good reviews, I had liked Ryan, and it was a much better price, so we went with Lyle. They had estimated the project would take 2-3 days but we had a sudden heat wave, making being in those hazmat suits in the attic basically unbearable past noon. So they started coming at 6am to get to work. The last day, when I checked in with Ryan (who also called me after they finished each day with a report) he said he had woken up at 230am and not been able to go back to sleep, so he decided to just start working at 3 am to get it done. That's pretty hardcore. We are not living in the house, of course, or that wouldn't have been possible, but I felt like they did their absolute best to get the job done as quickly and safely as possible. They showed up the first day right on time, put down plastic to walk on and despite the fact that we are doing major work on every part of this house and they would be hard pressed to mess anything up, they were very careful. Now, obviously I hope I don't need any more asbestos removal, but I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone
