I have got price estimates from other people but they were the ones I ended up using because they are right here in town. They get the job done and I feel like they work hard and try to keep it as least expensive as possible. I live in a 100-year old house and I feel like they know what they are doing. They have done well. I was having a plumbing job done once and they were here and then they had to come back out the same day to fix another leak I found on the line and they charged me a service fee. They charged me a fee for showing up again. It wasn't a big deal in the end and they got the work done but I thought that it could have been done under one fee since it was all on the same dayshow more

The gentleman who came out was not very organized, and he gave me a bid that I could barely read because it was handwritten. I had tried to replace a sink faucet on my own, a weekend project, but the old faucet handles were stripped and I wasn't able to remove the old faucet from my sink. I called several plumbers on a Sunday afternoon and Houston Plumbing and Heating was the first to respond. They called and told me in advance what the weekend labor charges would be (time and a half), so I had no surprises.
