The first chapter of Horizon: An American Saga premiered in theaters on June 27. If you made it to the theater to watch Kevin Costner's latest Western, you're likely wondering when chapter two comes out.

The movie was not seen as a big success by box office standards. In its opening weekend, it made $11 million dollars. The budget was estimated to be $100 million, $38 million of which Kevin Costner funded out of his own pocket. Still, the series is planned to be four movies in total, but the movie studio has decided to pull the second film from its scheduled theatrical release.

How to Watch Horizon: Chapter 2

The second installment of Kevin's passion project was scheduled to hit theaters on August 16. But, according to The Hollywood Reporter, that plan has changed. A New Line spokesperson says, "Territory Pictures and New Line Cinema have decided not to release Horizon: Chapter 2 on August 16 in order to give audiences a greater opportunity to discover the first installment of Horizon over the coming weeks, including on PVOD and MAX," a New Line spokesperson said.

A new release date has not been announced, but Chapter 1 will be available on PVOD (premium video on demand) on July 16.

When Will Horizon: Chapter 2 Be Available for Streaming?

We expect the entire four-movie saga to be available for streaming on Max. Horizon is produced by Warner Bros., and the studio has a streaming deal with Max. No date has been released for the second movie to debut or be available for streaming.

The movie will likely be able to rent or buy before it goes to streaming, so you'll be able to watch from home on services like Prime Video or AppleTV+. Still, Warner Bros. has not given any dates for its availability.
