We’re holding a design and technology lesson to inspire 7-11 year olds to get involved with an exciting new BBC micro:bit the next gen challenge.

What will happen in the BBC micro:bit Live Lesson?

During the lesson we'll be working together, to design a gadget powered by the micro:bit for some exciting top secret mystery guests! No coding expertise is needed, this lesson is all about innovation, creativity, and teamwork!

The 30 minute Live Lesson will be available to watch via BBC Teach on this page and on the CBBC channel.

What is the BBC micro:bit?

The micro:bit is a pocket-sized computer designed to inspire creative thinking in children. It can be programmed in many different ways and has multiple uses.

The device provides an authentic experience of the interaction between hardware and software and gives children practical computer knowledge.

How to get involved:
