Edey will sit out Wednesday's Summer League contest due to minor ankle soreness, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports.

The Grizzlies are wrapping up their time at the Salt Lake Summer League with their third game in as many nights, so Memphis will take some precautions with their lottery pick. He should be back in action for Friday's Summer League game in Las Vegas, though.

The Pistons claimed Reed off waivers Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Reed is on the second year of a three-year, $24 million deal, and he will now join former 76ers teammate, Tobias Harris, in Detroit's frontcourt. Reed will likely compete for minutes with Isaiah Stewart off the bench behind Jalen Duren. After averaging 7.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 blocks across 19.4 minutes in 82 regular-season games with the club last year, Reed was waived by the 76ers on July 6.

Kessler (rest) will not play in Tuesday's Salt Lake City Summer League matchup versus the Thunder, Sarah Todd of The Deseret News reports.

Kessler tallied 10 points, six rebounds, a game-high five blocks, two assists and two steals in Monday's Summer League win over the Grizzlies. However, the third-year big man will sit out of Tuesday's matchup, allowing the Jazz to get a better look at their rookie class of Cody Williams, Isaiah Collier and Kyle Filipowski. Kessler's next chance to play will come Wednesday against the 76ers.

The Suns did not extend a qualifying offer to Azubuike on Tuesday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Sam Amico of Hoops Wire reports.

The No. 27 overall pick by the Jazz during the 2020 NBA Draft, Azubuike will be looking for a new home after stints in Utah and Phoenix. The 24-year-old center holds career regular-season averages of 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 84 total games.

Edey tallied 14 points (7-12 FG), 15 rebounds, four blocks and one assist across 34 minutes in Monday's 97-95 overtime loss to the Jazz in the Salt Lake City Summer League.

Edey dominated the glass in an exciting matchup with Walker Kessler, a two-year professional of the NBA. Edey did turn his ankle in the beginning of the third quarter, but he returned to the game shortly thereafter. The big man grabbed boards with ease and put up four blocks as he patrolled the paint. The 22-year-old also set tough screens, showing a skill that the Grizzlies will look to pair with Ja Morant's explosiveness on the ball. Edey was dominant at Purdue, and in his last season there he averaged 25.2 points, 12.2 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 2.0 assists in 39 games.

Bona tallied seven points (3-6 FG, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 24 minutes in Monday's 102-92 win over the Thunder in the Salt Lake City Summer League.

Bona was effective on the defensive end in the club's opening game of the Summer League, and he was hitting shots at an efficient rate. The No. 41 overall pick racked up two blocks, and he was known as a solid interior defender with UCLA as he averaged 1.8 blocks per game in two seasons. In his final collegiate season, Bona averaged 12.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 33 games.

Timme won't play for the Raptors during the Las Vegas Summer League and will instead remain with Sacramento, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Timme played for the Kings during the California Classic Summer League but was listed on Toronto's roster for the Las Vegas Summer League. However, he'll remain with the Kings in Las Vegas and will be replaced by Fardaws Aimaq on the Raptors' roster.

Jackson hit 7-of-14 shots (3-7 3Pt) and made 1-of-2 free throws for 18 points, eight rebounds, two assists, three triples and three steals across 33 minutes during Wednesday's Summer League loss to the Thunder.

While most of Jackson's stat line was great, his six turnovers were less than stellar. Jackson posted some solid stat lines last season while logging big minutes for a team that was missing most of its key guys, but it'll be tough for him to replicate that success in Year 2 if Jaren Jackson Jr. and Brandon Clarke are healthy.

Durant (calf) is expected to play in Team USA's first game of the Paris Olympics against Serbia on July 28 but may not be available for any exhibitions, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.

Durant has yet to participate in training camp with Team USA due to a minor calf strain he suffered 10 days before the group got together in Las Vegas. The NBA superstar has already been ruled out for Wednesday's exhibition versus Canada, the first matchup between the teams since Canada beat Team USA in the 2023 FIBA World Cup's bronze medal game. The Americans sported a youthful squad for that tournament and are looking for revenge at the Olympics with a star-studded cast, including Durant, Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Joel Embiid. Following Wednesday's matchup, Team USA travels to Abu Dhabi for exhibitions versus Australia on July 15 and Serbia on July 17.

Durant (calf) is set to miss the USA's exhibition game against Canada on Wednesday, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.

Durant has sat out four straight practices due to a calf strain he suffered 10 days before the team's training camp. However, coach Steve Kerr said Tuesday that Durant has been working hard and is expected to be available soon, Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.com reports. The All-Star could be back July 15 when the USA takes on Australia for an exhibition game in Abu Dhabi.

Hendricks (rest) will sit out the Jazz's Salt Lake City Summer League matchup versus the Thunder on Tuesday, Sarah Todd of The Deseret News reports.

Hendricks posted eight points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in the club's Summer League opener against the Grizzlies on Monday. However, the 20-year-old will sit out Tuesday so the Jazz can see more from their draft picks Cody Williams, Isaiah Collier and Kyle Filipowski. Hendricks had a decent rookie season with the club last year, during which he averaged 7.3 points and 4.6 rebounds across 21.4 minutes while shooting 45.0 percent from the field in 40 regular-season games. His next chance to suit up will come Wednesday versus the 76ers.

Watford signed a one-year, $2.73 million contract Brooklyn on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Watford had been a restricted free agent, but because he signed his qualifying offer, he'll become an unrestricted free agent next summer. He made 63 appearances for the Nets during the 2023-24 season, posting averages of 6.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.6 minutes.

Okogie signed a two-year, $16 million deal with the Suns on Thursday, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports.

The second year of the deal is not guaranteed, so the Suns will wait and see what happens this upcoming season before committing to the rest of the deal. Okogie had a reduced role for Phoenix during the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 4.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16.0 minutes across 60 regular-season appearances. He struggled to see minutes in 2023-24 but will aim to carve out a bench role now that Mike Budenholzer will be the head coach.

Dieng logged 17 points (7-20 FG, 3-10 3Pt), eight assists, four rebounds and four blocks across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 80-77 win over the Grizzlies in the Summer League.

While Dieng led the Thunder in points and assists, he wasn't able to do so efficiently, turning the ball over six times and taking 20 shots. He'll exit Salt Lake City averaging 16.7 points on 34.6 percent shooting along with 5.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists across three games.

Johnson recorded 21 points (8-14 FG, 1-4 3P, 4-6 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and three blocks across 30 minutes in Wednesday's 80-76 win over the Lakers in the California Classic.

Johnson showed why the Heat signed the undrafted free agent out of Arizona to a two-way contract this offseason, tying for the team high in points while making his presence felt on the defensive end. Johnson will continue to see Summer League action with the Heat in Las Vegas.

Bey (knee) has agreed to a three-year, $20 million contract with the Wizards, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Bey is coming off a down year in which he converted a career-low 31.6 percent of his three-point attempts across 63 regular-season games with the Hawks, but maybe a change of scenery will help him rediscover his sharpshooting ways. However, he's still rehabbing from an ACL tear that he suffered in March, so it's unlikely he'll be ready for the start of the 2024-25 season.

Knecht generated 20 points (7-18 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds and one assist across 31 minutes in Wednesday's 80-76 loss to the Heat in the California Classic.

Knecht will exit the California Classic having averaged 14.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals across 26.3 minutes per game. However, the rookie first-rounder shot 12-for-43 (27.9 percent) from the field and 4-for-15 (26.8 percent) from beyond the arc. It's not abnormal for a rookie to struggle with efficiency during Summer League, and there shouldn't be much concern regarding Knecht's ability to score after averaging 21.7 points per game last season at Tennessee.

Jaquez will be part of the Heat's Summer League team in Las Vegas and is expected to play in the team's first two games, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Jacquez was named to the USA Select Team and has been in Las Vegas for the Team USA training camp this week while Miami competes in the California Classic. He'll stick around in Vegas for the start of NBA 2K25 Summer League -- which kicks off Friday -- and play in at least two games. The 23-year-old appeared in 75 regular-season games as a rookie and averaged 11.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steals.

The Kings announced Thursday that Carter underwent successful surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.

Carter sustained a left shoulder injury during a pre-draft workout, and the Kings were aware of the issue when selecting him with the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Sacramento announced Thursday that they'll update his status in approximately six months, so the 22-year-old will presumably miss at least the first few months of the 2024-25 season. However, Carter is expected to make a full recovery with no long-term concerns.

The Hawks announced Thursday that Bufkin suffered a right shoulder subluxation during Tuesday's practice and will not play in the Las Vegas Summer League.

While Bufkin's shoulder injury will keep him out of the Summer League, he is expected to make a full recovery ahead of training camp. The second-year guard averaged 4.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 11.5 minutes across 17 appearances in 2023-24.

Ellis tallied 30 points (12-21 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block over 33 minutes in Wednesday's 91-90 loss to the Warriors in the California Classic.

Ellis closed the 2023-24 season in the starting lineup for Sacramento, but the Kings opted to give Ellis more time to refine his game in the Summer League. Over three games in the California Classic, Ellis averaged 20.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists over 29.0 minutes.

George generated 31 points (9-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 11-12 FT), five assists and two rebounds across 31 minutes in Wednesday's 93-85 win over the 76ers in Salt Lake City Summer League.

George has scored at least 30 points in both Summer League games he's played in Salt Lake, but he needed only 15 shots to reach the milestone Wednesday after going 5-for-21 from the field in Utah's Summer League opener. George has totaled nine assists over his two appearances.

James (knee) logged three points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists, two steals and three blocks over 29 minutes in Wednesday's 80-76 loss to the Heat in the California Classic Summer League.

The Lakers' Summer League squad had back-to-back games over the weekend, of which James sat out the second due to swelling in his left knee. However, he was back in action Wednesday and flashed on the defensive end. The No. 55 pick will continue to see Summer League action in Las Vegas, with the Lakers' next game scheduled for Friday.

White will replace Kawhi Leonard on Team USA's roster ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Marc Spears of Andscape reports.

With Leonard bowing out of the Olympics earlier Wednesday, Team USA was in need of a replacement and quickly settled on White, who was one of the better two-way guards in the NBA last season. The 30-year-old started all 73 of his regular-season appearances for Boston, posting 15.2 points, 5.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 39.6 percent from three on nearly seven attempts per game. While White does not have any previous Olympic experience, he was a member of Team USA's roster for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Lowry has agreed to return to the 76ers on a one-year deal, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The 38-year-old veteran and Philly native will again be helping back up Tyrese Maxey for the 76ers this upcoming season. He may be able to provide some low-end value as an assist specialist in 16-team leagues, but he's well past his days of relevancy in standard, 12-team settings.

The Mavericks signed Gortman to an Exhibit 10 contract Thursday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

Gortman spent last season with the Trail Blazers' G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix. While he has yet to make an NBA appearance, Gortman will now have the opportunity to compete for a roster spot in Dallas.

Nix signed a two-way contract with the Timberwolves on Wednesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Nix will be on a two-way deal with Minnesota for a second consecutive season after appearing in 15 games with the T-Wolves in 2023-24. Considering he played sparingly last season and Minnesota used its first-round pick on a point guard in Rob Dillingham, Nix will likely spend most of the upcoming season in the G League.

Morant underwent shoulder surgery in January, but he is fully cleared for all basketball activities this summer, CBSSports.com reports.

Due to a 25-game suspension and a major shoulder surgery, Morant appeared in just nine games last season, during which he averaged 25.1 points, 8.1 assists, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.4 steals across 35.3 minutes. The 24-year-old had successful surgery on his right shoulder in mid-January, and he is now officially cleared to resume all basketball activities ahead of training camp in the fall. Morant will aim to lead the Grizzlies back to the playoffs after a year ruined by a litany of injuries saw them finish with a 27-55 record.

Pippen posted 21 points (8-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-7 FT), five assists and three steals across 34 minutes in Monday's 97-95 overtime loss to the Jazz in the Salt Lake City Summer League.

Pippen's defense and ability to get a bucket were on display Monday, and he and Keyonte George provided a thrilling Summer League matchup. Pippen got solid playing time due to a litany of injuries while on a two-way pact with the Grizzlies last season, during which he averaged 12.9 points, 4.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 steals across 25.1 minutes. The 23-year-old also shot 49.3 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from deep, and he could prove to be a valuable backup option for the Grizzlies this upcoming year.

Collier recorded 14 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, six assists and three steals across 29 minutes during Monday's 97-95 win over Memphis in the Salt Lake City Summer League.

Collier looked sharp off the bench in this one as he drilled a pair of triples and led the reserves in scoring. He also showcased his ability elsewhere by dishing out a team-high six assists while holding his own on the defensive end. Collier's performance Monday evening was a promising first step for the rookie, and he figures to see plenty of chances to shine as Summer League action rolls on.
