In two games since returning from a finger injury, Bellinger has gone 5-for-9 with a home run and four RBI. The 29-year-old former MVP can heat up in a hurry, and it looks like he could be primed for a big finish to the season. Bellinger's counting stats could also benefit from the addition of Isaac Paredes to the Chicago lineup.

Bellinger went through a long hitting program Monday and did some additional hitting during batting practice before the team's game in Cincinnati. That he's on the road trip would suggest Bellinger has a chance to return before the Cubs' series with the Reds ends Wednesday, although it's possible they'll wait for the start of a homestand Thursday. Bellinger has been shelved since mid-July with a fractured left middle finger.
