LTV Corp. has completed the sale of its integrated steel mill at Gadsden, Ala., to the Brenlin Group of Akron, Ohio. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. LTV was required to divest the Gadsden plant under terms of a 1984 Department of Justice consent decree that permitted LTV`s acquisition of Republic Steel Corp. Before the merger, the plant was operated by Republic Steel. LTV Steel Co. said it plans to maintain an active participation in the Southeastern states and will continue marketing a full range of flat rolled and bar products in the areas formerly served by the Gadsden plant.
