Mass for Frederick W. Banks, a 38-year employee of the Chicago Board of Education, will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 93d Street and Hamilton Avenue. Mr. Banks, 55, who lived in Chicago`s Beverly neighborhood, was the school system`s director of facilities. He died Friday in Little Company of Mary Hospital, Evergreen Park. Mr. Banks was a former semiprofessional basketball player who was active in the sport in the Roseland neighborhood. Survivors include his wife, Janis; two sons, Greg and Gary; and two daughters, Kimberley and Sharon.
