John E. ”Jack” Gierut, 82, a retired bank counselor, died Sunday in a Burbank convalescent center. Mr. Gierut, a resident of the Marquette Manor neighborhood since 1928, retired from Citicorp Savings, 1751 W. 47th St., in 1984. He had been employed by First Federal Savings & Loan before it was taken over by Citicorp. From 1966 to 1961, he was vice president of Supreme Savings and Loan, which had been at the same address. There are no immediate survivors. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Rita Catholic Church, 6243 S. Fairfield Ave.
