A former employee of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency began work Monday as project coordinator of the Du Page County I-SEARCH program, a joint educational and monitoring effort by the county sheriff`s office and police in Wheaton and Roselle to find missing children and to prevent the abduction of children. Sheila Dunne, 35, will coordinate the county`s I-SEARCH efforts under terms of a $75,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Law Enforcement. I-SEARCH stands for Illinois State Agencies to Recover Children. Funds appropriated for the program, including $7,500 from the county, are to be used to develop educational programs to help prevent abductions and to catalog information that could aid law enforcement agencies in tracking missing children.
