The Arthur Andersen & Co. accounting firm said it earned a record $1.5 billion in fees worldwide in the fiscal year, ended Aug. 31, up from $1.3 billion a year earlier. U.S. fees accounted for $1.18 billion of that total, up from $1.02 billion the year before, the Chicago-based firm said.
