American Motors Corp. said it lost $6.7 million in the fourth quarter of 1985, bringing total losses for the year to $125.2 million. A year earlier, AMC reported profits of $3.1 million in the quarter and $15.4 million for the year. Sales in the quarter rose to $1.12 billion from $1.06 billion but for the year revenue fell to $4 billion from $4.2 million. Auto sales in the year fell to 136,989 units from 237,309 while Jeep utility vehicle sales rose to 217,806 from 171,036.
