More than 50 percent of United Development`s 104 single-family homes at Cinnamon Creek in northwest suburban Algonquin have been sold since Phase II opened for sale in July. The 297-home subdivision, planned for three-phases, surrounds a six-acre park with four ranch, split-level and two-story floor plans ranging in price from $75,490 to $97,490. Standard features include attached two-car garage, fully-sodded front and side yards with seeded back yards, wall-to-wall carpeting in living areas and bedrooms, gas forced-air heating, five-cycle dishwasher, continuous-clean gas oven and range, heavy-duty food disposer, vinyl flooring, baths with cultured marble vanity tops, smoke detector, and R-13 wall insulation and R-30 ceiling insulation. Model homes are located on Ill. Hwy. 62 one mile west of Ill. Hwy. 25.

MODELS OPEN IN WOOD DALE

Two furnished duplex models have been opened by KRSS Development Corp. at Paramount Place in northwest suburban Wood Dale. Of 76 homes planned for the project, 22 remain unsold. The two three-bedroom versions currently open are: the Bellini, a split-level three-bedroom, one-bath home with 1,560 square feet of living area, priced from $82,990; and the single-floor Dellwood with three bedrooms, two baths and 1,576 square feet priced from $76,990. The Dellwood is also available as a two-bedroom, 1 1/2-bath home with 1,358 square feet, priced from $72,500. Another split-level model, the Dominic, is also offered with two bedrooms, one bath and 1,480 square feet priced from $81,500.

ERA POSTS 84% SALES GAIN IN `85

Total 1985 sales of $398,363,929–an 84 percent increase over 1984–were reported by the North Central region of ERA Real Estate, headquartered in suburban Rolling Meadows. Transactions hit an all-time high of 5,107 during 1985, compared to 3,115 in 1984, resulting in a 62 percent increase.

OFF TO A FAST START

Sundance Homes Inc., has begun sales for 66 single family homes at its Timber Lake Estates in northwest suburban Lake Zurich.

”We sold 20 homes within the first 10 days we were open,” said Michael Schall, vice president of marketing. ”We have large quarter to half-acre homesites, and the topography is wooded with dense stands of aged white oaks and a scenic lake. We had anticipated offering furnished models by spring but at this rate we may be already sold out.”

Four new home designs are being sold from plans: Plan 2000, a 2,000 square foot home for $129,900; Plan 2150, a 2,200 to 2,400 square foot home for $149,900; Plan 2400, a 2,400 square foot home for $154,900 and Plan 3111 a 3,111 square foot home for $189,900.

Timber Lake Estates is located on Miller Road north of Lions Road.

WOMAN TO BE NAHB PRESIDENT

Shirley McVay Wiseman, a Kentucky home builder and former federal housing official, is in line to become the first woman president of the 138,000-member National Association of Home Builders. Wiseman, recently elected to the association`s post of vice president/secretary, will move into the presidency in 1989. A former Department of Housing and Urban Development deputy assistant secretary for single-family housing, Wiseman has been in the home building and real estate fields for 23 years in both Lexington, Kentucky and Marco Island, Fla.

PARK PLACE BEING BUILT

Construction is underway on the second of four buildings at United Development`s Park Place, a condominium development in northwest suburban Arlington Heights. Four of the 10 homes in the two-story brick structure were sold before construction began, according to Al Goodman, vice president of sales. Two models are offered–the 1,250-square-foot Arlington, priced from $80,900; and the Boardwalk, with 1,350 square feet, from $86,900. Both offer two bedrooms and two baths, concrete patio or wood deck, and enclosed parking. The models are on Arlington Heights Road, one block north of Golf Road (Ill. Hwy. 58).
