As a kid growing up on Oahu we took field trips there. Reflection pools are supposed to represent the Pacific Ocean (they've been broken for awhile). You also learn it's the only open air capitol in the US and it's to welcome people and encourage democracy (LOL!). The now stark reality with it's printed lei wall is exactly what it is, just fake aloha.

A friend from California, who recently cancelled her upcoming family vacation in Maui in the wake of Mayor Victorino's recently announced "no booster, no food" rule, has suggested that Hawaii should consider changing its motto to "Aloha, do not come!"

They are making excuses and does not want to face the constituents. They learned how valuable Covid was to them and now want all testimony on zoom. Truly. We have sad and feckless leadership at the capitol. The people see it. Lets vote them all out.
