NEW YORK — Actress Jennifer Aniston is launching a children’s book series that is inspired by her beloved dog.

The “Friends” star has agreements with HarperCollins Publishers and animation studio Invisible Studio for a four-book deal that will feature an animated dog Clydeo, based on the actor’s own rescue pet, Clyde.

The first book, “Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life,” with illustrations by Bruno Jacob, is scheduled for release on Oct. 1, The Associated Press said.

The book tells the story of a pooch who longs to have a passion like everyone else in his family and discovers his love for cooking, Publishers Weekly said.

“When I decided to partner with Invisible Universe to bring Clydeo to life on social media, I could have never imagined how much joy he would bring to his fans and followers,” Aniston told People magazine. “I could not be more thrilled to be taking Clydeo and his stories to publishing, where he will hopefully inspire children and dog-lovers alike with his adorable journey to find his true passion.”

Clydeo already has a social media presence. The Clydeo account on Instagram, for example, has nearly 50,000 followers. Aniston began posting about him in 2021.
