CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Painesville man is charged with murder in the death of a Madison teenager on Saturday.

Fernando Alejo, 22, is being held without bond in the death of Rogelio Cabrera, 17, court records show. A Lake County grand jury is expected to hear the case in the coming days.

WKYC reported that officers were called to an alley near the 4000 block of Erie Street about 12:30 a.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting.

Willoughby police found Cabrera near the back of the alley, according to WKYC.

A filing in Willoughby Municipal Court accused Alejo of murder. Court documents did not go into detail on the cause of the shooting. Cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer reached out to Willoughby police for details on the incident.
