Cleveland Guardians merchandise is now on sale: Here’s where to get hats, shirts & more online

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Get your Cleveland Guardians gear, get your Cleveland Guardians gear.

Following a delay of a few days, the first official merchandise featuring the Cleveland baseball team’s new name and logo is now available online exclusively at MLBshop.com. The items include hats, player tees, T-shirts, hoodies, collectibles and more. Many of the clothes come in men’s, women’s and youth sizes.

On-field jerseys and fitted caps like the players wear aren’t available to purchase yet, though both products are expected to go on sale before the start of the season.

In addition to online, fans can purchase Guardians merchandise in person at Progressive Field. The team shop is the only brick-and-mortar store in Northeast Ohio selling the items before the collection arrives at other local retailers on Nov. 23.

Though the team will be sporting a different nickname for the first time since 1915, the Guardians didn’t make drastic changes to their look. The red, white and navy blue color scheme remains the same, and the ballclub made only subtle changes to the “C” lettermark and script wordmark.

But the team once again has a primary logo after retiring Chief Wahoo prior to the 2018 season. The Guardian’s Fastball, as it is being called, is inspired by the helmets and wings of the Guardians of Transportation statues on the Hope Memorial Bridge located near Progressive Field.

Merchandise sold with the team’s former name and logo will continue to be sold with the profits going to support youth-focused organizations and causes.
