Plummeting respect for the law hurts all of us

I am the daughter of a retired (now deceased) Cleveland police officer. I love America. But I’m 67 and have watched the respect for law enforcement and the law in general deteriorate over the years. My dad was spit on and called a pig in the ’60s; today, it’s actually worse. We don’t have a gun problem. We have a criminal youth problem. A leadership problem. A citizen listlessness problem.

Pretty soon, you will not have any decent men or women taking on this thankless job.
