CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Guardians are hip-dip in a lot of the big events Major League Baseball has coming up- the Draft and the All-Star Game and events in Arlington, TX.

First up, the MLB Draft will begin on Sunday with the Guardians holding the first overall pick after winning the lottery at last year’s Winter Meetings. SportsBetting.ag has Oregon State infielder Travis Bazzana as the favorite to go first, followed by West Virginia shortstop JJ Wetherholt then Georgia outfielder Charlie Condon.

As far as Monday’s Home Run Derby they like New York Mets slugger Pete Alonzo the best, he’s getting 3/1 odds to win it. Jose Ramirez has the third worst odds at 10/1.

Ramirez has been in this event before, taking a first-round exit in 2022. He was bothered by a thumb injury then so he will be in better shape to make a run at it in 2024.
