So, can you tell us a little bit about this attraction?
Hogwarts Castle looms over the village of Hogsmeade at Universal’s Islands of Adventure and has drawn thousands of guests since opening in 2010. The line for Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey winds the through halls of the castle, and is nearly an attraction in itself; what awaits is one of the most technologically advanced theme park attractions you'll ever experience. Somewhere between a dark ride and a thrill ride, the attraction uses a mix of physical sets and video projections to make you feel as though you’re soaring above Hogwarts as you join Harry, Hermione, and Ron for an adventure across the castle’s grounds.

Fun! What are some of the highlights?
In addition to its innovative ride system, which uses a computer-controlled robotic arm to maneuver the vehicles, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey deploys some super-realistic, life-size holograms to bring Dumbledore, Harry, and the gang to life.

Got it. Anything we should know about the logistics?
Heed the warning to stow your belongings in one of the available lockers and empty your pockets; this ride will turn you nearly upside down. If you want to keep your phone or camera to take pictures in line, stash it in the small compartment in the back of your seat.

Noted. Who would you recommend this ride for?
If motion-based rides make you queasy, or if just want to spend a bit more time at Hogwarts, opt for the Castle Tour, which will allow you to take in the sights while keeping your feet firmly on the ground. Just tell one of the ride attendants and they’ll guide you to a special entrance.
