Fleet Master Chief Donald L. Davis, Jr.

Fleet Master Chief Donald L. Davis, Jr. is a native of San Diego, CA. He enlisted in the Navy in September 1988 and attended Recruit Training Command and Airman Apprenticeship Training School in San Diego, CA.

His sea tours include USS MIDWAY (CV 41), USS INDEPENDENCE (CV 62), USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72), and USS PELELIU (LHA 5).

His shore assignments include Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan and Navy Recruiting District Houston, TX.

He had the honor of serving as the Command Master Chief aboard USS LASSEN (DDG 82), USS TORTUGA (LSD 46), Amphibious Force SEVENTH Fleet, Expeditionary Strike Group THREE, Pacific Fleet CPO Training Team, 3D Marine Aircraft Wing, U.S. THIRD Fleet, and
U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific.

Fleet Master Chief Davis is a graduate of Senior Enlisted Academy Class 146, Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Command Leadership Course Class 63, the Senior Executive Asia-Pacific Orientation Course, and the Navy Senior Leader Seminar in Monterey, CA.

His military decorations include the Legion of Merit (2 awards), Meritorious Service Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy Achievement Medal (5 awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
