USS Gridley, Partner Nations Hold VBSS Drill During RIMPAC 2024
PACIFIC OCEAN — The Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101) participated in a multinational visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) drill while underway July 15 during Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC), a large-scale international maritime exercise.
Successful conclusion of Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Relief training at RIMPAC 2024
The Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) portion of the multinational joint exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024 has come to a successful close, July 15. HADR is a military cooperation that aims to save lives, reduce suffering, and resolve emergencies during natural disasters. This year, nine nations actively participated: Canada, Chile, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Republic of Korea (ROK), Singapore and the United States.
Navy Environmental and Preventive Medicine Unit Six and Singapore Armed Forces Biodefense Team conduct Expeditionary Public Health Subject Matter Exchange during RIMPAC 2024
U.S. Navy Preventive Medicine professionals assigned to Navy Environmental and Preventive Medicine Unit Six (NEPMU-6) hosted a Singapore Armed Forces Expeditionary Public Health Team (SAF) to exchange knowledge about U.S. Navy Forward Deployable Preventive Medicine Unit’s (FDPMU) and their employment in operational settings, from July 9th-10th, 2024, on Ford Island, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
