Maatsen arrives at Villa

What's the saying again? Like London buses...

When you want one, two come at once.

He may have signed three weeks ago, but Ian Maatsen is now officially through the door at Aston Villa.

What a day in the West Midlands!

Breaking: Amadou Onana signs for Villa

Aston Villa really are making moves!

The Villans have confirmed the signing of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana for £50m.

After losing Douglas Luiz to Juventus, it was imperative that Villa found a replacement.

They have got their man.

15:00

Villa after Joao Felix?

Now this would be one hell of a coup.

Aston Villa will be wanting to make some big moves this summer. After all, they are in the Champions League next season.

One of the stars they have their eyes on is Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix who spent last season on loan at Barcelona.

A couple of years ago, Felix was tearing up La Liga, but his form has dipped after a couple of loan spells.

Maybe a return to the Premier League will get him back on track...

United eye Simons?

Honestly, do Manchester United want everybody?

It seems like over half of my posts today have been about the 20-time English champions.

Reports in Spain are suggesting that the Red Devils are now keen on PSG's Xavi Simons.

They certainly aren't the only ones, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are also among his potential suitors.

It's not surprising really, he is a real talent.

'Ortega would start if Ederson left Man City'

Stefan Ortega would walk into most teams as a first-choice goalkeeper and there is an argument to be made that his shot-stopping is better than Ederson's.

Fabrizio Romano reports that if Ederson departed, Pep Guardiola would keep faith in his man rather than bring in a 'big name'.

What do you make of that, City fans?

Riccardo Calafiori excluded from Bologna squad

A positive sign for Arsenal? Potentially.

Riccardo Calafiori, one of Italy's stars of Euro 2024 and an Arsenal target, has not been included in Bologna's pre-season training camp squad.

The Gunners reportedly have agreed a deal with the headband-toting defender, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Uli Hoeness: 'It's possible De Ligt leaves'

Honorary Bayern Munich president, Uli Hoeness, speaking to Sky Germany:

It's possible that a defender will leave. [Matthijs] De Ligt is Dutch, the coach at Manchester United is Dutch. I would have no problem if he stays.
12:38

De Ligt destined for Red Devils?

I know this may seem an odd sub-heading after the last post, but hear me out.

It feels like the links between Matthijs de Ligt and Manchester United have been going on for years, but only this time have they intensified.

To me, it seems like a good fit.

Erik ten Hag got the best out of a young De Ligt while they worked together at Ajax, he was the captain.

And on his day, De Ligt still produces performances of the highest standard at the heart of defence.

While a move isn't close, it's a good one if it is made.

Man United 'see £30m bid REJECTED for De Ligt'

The transfer news just keeps on coming from Manchester.

United have been interested in Matthijs de Ligt for a long time, even Erik ten Hag confirmed it.

But it seems they have been hit with a major blow in their pursuit of the Dutch centre-back.

According to reports, they have had a £30million pound bid rejected for the Bayern Munich man.

The saga continues...

Man United 'keen to sign Amrabat permanently on one condition'

Interesting, very interesting...

While Manchester United have reportedly chosen not to trigger the buy option in Sofyan Amrabat's loan deal from last season, he may yet still end up back at Old Trafford.

But how?

well, I am not going to ruin that one for you, you'll have to click the article below to find out.

Right move for Sancho?

What do you all think about this potential transfer?

Jadon Sancho proved last year that the star player he was two years ago is still in there.

It will be interesting to see if his relationship with Erik ten Hag is as repaired as they have suggested.

If so, then maybe he will stay.

If not, this could be a could move for him to rebuild his career away from England.

11:04

Sancho's next step...

Well then, that's certainly news that will wake you up!

Jadon Sancho is potentially en route to PSG.

I mean, PSG are looking for a Kylian Mbappe replacement on the left and Sancho certainly fits that bill.

The English winger ripped them apart while on loan at Borussia Dortmund last season in the Champions League semi-finals.

They are probably still all under his spell.

Sancho 'close to agreeing personal terms with PSG'

This is big, big news.

Reports are suggesting that Jadon Sancho is close to agreeing personal terms with French giants PSG.

We know that Sancho has not had a strong relationship with Erik ten Hag in the past, meaning a move seemed inevitable this summer.

But only two days ago, he graced the pitch in United colours for the first time this year.

And he played extremely well too...

Bill Foley: 'I believe Dom will be here next year'

Bournemouth owner, Bill Foley, speaking to BBC Sport on Dominic Solanke:

I believe Dom is going to be with us this coming year. He has a release clause, which is very expensive. We shouldn't reveal anything about the contract but that area [reported £65m] sounds roughly correct. I guess if someone comes for him, we are going to have to replace him.
We have two or three candidates that we have lined up. But I believe Dom will be here next year and I believe he is going to score 21 or 22 goals.

10:46

What next for Dom Solanke?

I bet that sub-heading has given Bournemouth fans a scare.

Well, don't worry Cherries faithful, Dom Solanke has not gone anywhere... yet.

It's not to say he won't, Solanke netted 19 Premier League goals last term - that's bound to attract the attention of top clubs.

But will that interest turn to fruition?

I'm sure that if a 'Big Six' Premier League club came in for Solanke, the striker would be interested in the move.

Whether that will happen, who knows...

Is this the right time for KDB to go?

I think this is a very fair question to ask.

Kevin de Bruyne showed last year just how important he is to Manchester City.

His return from injury in January spelled the start of their revival in the Premier League title race.

They didn't lose in the league after he returned.

But De Bruyne is now 33 years old, at some point City will have to look at replacing him.

Players like to have fresh challenges from time to time and De Bruyne has been at City for eight years now.

Maybe it's the right time to part ways.

De Bruyne 'AGREES personal terms to join Al-Ittihad'

Want to know why Man City are in for Eberechi Eze?

Well, here is your answer...

A monster story came to the forefront over the weekend as it was reported that Kevin de Bruyne has agreed personal terms with Al-Ittihad.

It would be a major coup for the Suadi Pro League and a massive loss to the Premier League.

Will a deal be completed, though?

Is Eze a good replacement for KDB?

If Kevin de Bruyne leaves Manchester City, he will leave a major gap to fill.

Could Eberechi Eze be the man to slip in there?

He may be a very different player to De Bruyne, but Pep Guardiola always likes his teams to evolve.

His dribbling, creativity, and finishing are all attributes that would aid City in their quest for another Premier League title.

Personally, I think it would be a great coup for the Citizens.

Man City 'join the race for Eze'

Go big or go home, right?

Manchester City are always brilliant with their summer business, and if they pull this one off then wow.

Pep Guardiola's side a reportedly interested in Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze, who had a superb 2023-24 campaign.

He won't come cheap, though...
