HAMPTON — A 19-year-old died Monday night after he was shot while driving near Buckroe Beach.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Atlantic Avenue for shots fired in the area just after midnight, police say. At the scene, police found Nasir Mosley of Newport News dead from a gunshot wound inside his car, which had crashed into a marsh at the end of Thimble Shoals Court.
A preliminary investigation found that Mosley had been driving when a shooter fired multiple times. Mosley “was struck, lost control of his vehicle and drove into the marsh.”
